Huge surge in stock market, Sensex touched new historical record

There was a bumper rise in the Indian stock market today due to strong signals from the global market and huge investment by foreign investors. Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex jumped 800 points to close at a new historic peak. Banking and IT stocks gained the most.
