Historic agreement between India and Vietnam: 'Enhanced Strategic Partnership' approved
After talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Vietnam, both the countries agreed to increase cooperation in defense and trade.

New Delhi: Strengthening India's 'Act East' policy, bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the top leadership of Vietnam were successful. Both the countries have decided to upgrade their relations to 'Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership'. Under this agreement, cooperation will be increased in the fields of defense production, maritime security and semiconductor technology. PM Modi said that Vietnam is an important partner for India in the Indo-Pacific region.
